Corzine welcomes you to the unemployment line

This just in, New Jersey just lost another 12,700 jobs in September under Jon Corzine’s wise leadership:

New Jersey’s unemployment rate rose to a 32-year high of 9.8 percent in September, according to the state’s labor department.

The rate, up from a revised 9.6 percent in August, matched the national level. The last time New Jersey’s jobless rate exceeded 9.8 percent was in April 1977, labor department data show.

New Jersey has lost 168,500 jobs since the U.S. recession began in December 2007. Gov. Jon S. Corzine, a first-term Democrat, has made his efforts to help the state’s economy recover a focal point of his re-election campaign.

Despite these facts, Corzine continues to lie to the public, claiming he has created new jobs. The only people that have a safe job are union workers who cannot be fired or laid off, even if there is no bneed for their job, because Corzine is more interested in keeping his special interests groups happy than he is in fixing New Jersey’s broken economy.
