Best Search Phrases

Two of the best search phrases that led people to this site are:

can a convicted felon run for public office in nj

and

did corzine endorse cammarano

We will try to answer them to the best of our knowledge. First, can a convicted felon run for public office in NJ? First we will tackle an easy one, can a felon vote in NJ? Surprisingly, a convicted felon serving time, or on active parole or probation CANNOT vote in NJ. However, after the sentence has been satisfied, their dues to society are deemed to have been paid, and they can vote. Not surprisingly, the one that do vote are almost always registered Democrat.

With that out of the way, you would think that NJ would not allow a convicted felon run for office. Unfortunately, New Jersey is a “Do as I say, not as I do” state. So much so that the GOP chair in Passaic County actually proposed a ban on felons holding office in the party and the state.

The next search item that aroused our curiosity is: did Corzine endorse Cammarano? Dick Codey gave Cammarano a hearty endorsement. Dick Codey is as entrenched in filthy Soprano State politics as one can get. However, Codey and Corzine have not always seen eye-to-eye, so it is not safe to assume that a Codey endorsement equates into a Corzine endorsement.

Corzine, until today, has certainly done absolutely nothing to distance himself from Cammarano. Corzine lacks judgment almost as much as Codey.Jon Corzine certainly has no loyalty, being quick to throw his cabinet member uner the proverbial bus.

We can find no evidence of Corzine actually endorsing Cammarano. If anyone has knowledge otherwise, please, we do want to hear.
