Business as usual – Corzine rewards ethically-challenged law firm

This gem is from our favorite political website, PolitickerNJ.com:

Teaneck-based DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Wisler has been given a contract to work on the $8.7 billion train tunnel under the Hudson River after the state’s Inspector General found the firm mislead officials, inappropriately pressured state regulators, misrepresented EnCap’s finances and created an atmosphere of bad faith while working on EnCap.

This is insider politics at its very worst, rewarding those that have proven themselves incapable of working within the constraints of the public faith. True, they were never found guilty of a crime, but they apparently walked a fine line, according to the State Attorney Generals Office.
