Even Democrats wonder about Corzine

Blue Jersey, a decidedly Democratic blog asks the question”

It seems reasonable that, if ethics was his “highest priority”; then there should be some sort of tangible evidence of reform or at least a hard personal line against the tired “business as usual” Jersey politics.

I can’t find it.  First, Javier Inclan still has his job – and, no, I’m not going to get over the Deputy Chief of Staff swearing to God that he is corrupt and having absolutely no consequences to face.  Now, we have the tale of the NYU Child Study Center.  If anyone ever doubted that Jon Corzine was a Jersey politician – and that is about the gravest insult I can hurl in his direction – this move should make it clear.

It is a sad commentary that Corzine has failed to deliver on every single campaign promise. And he has fallen especially short on the issues of ethics. The Blue Jersey blog post discusses the NYU Child Center, of which Corzine has been a board member since the inception, and which one of his Goldman Sachs colleagues and his wife are both board members.

There is a definite conflict of interest, as well as blatant appearance of malfeasance.  The fact that a Democrat-leaning blog finds fault with Corzine’s involvement adds credence to our position that this man cannot be trusted with the ethical issues that plague this state.
