Some are more equal than others

Corzine mandated furloughs to low paid state employees. However, if you work in Jersey City, a town with at least 23 state employees earning more than $140,000 a year, you are exempt.

“It’s impossible to argue that Jersey City is any needier than hundreds of other communities facing the same economic challenges,” Senator Oroho said. “It’s simply unacceptable not to require furloughs from these highly compensated city workers when many New Jersey residents who have lost their jobs or seen their incomes plummet will pay higher taxes and motor vehicle fees.”

Remember, vote for Jon Corzine. He will give special people special privileges. As long as you are willing to not work for a living, he will make sure you get a paycheck.
