Taxing our way out of a recession

Assembly Eric Munoz has a lot to say about Corzine’s budget, and it ain’t pretty.

“New Jersey’s recession began seven years ago when Democrats took control of the statehouse and escalated under the helm of Governor Corzine,” said Munoz. “Case in point – today, we now have 103 new or higher taxes on the books and our economy is the worst it’s ever been in recent memory. Economists have said and history has shown that it isn’t possible to tax your way out of a recession.”

He goes on to say that Corzine’s plan will cost the average family $1,700 to $2,000 a year. He calls the budget a “3-prong attack on the middle class”.
