Corzine bad for business

Corzine’s legacy is the high unemployment and no jobs.

Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose said New Jerseyans cannot afford more of Gov. Jon S. Corzine’s economic policies that revised Labor statistics now say cost New Jersey 85,700 jobs in 2008 – up from the 63,000 previously estimated.

“When is the governor going to realize that he governs over a bureaucracy we cannot afford?” McHose, R-Sussex, Hunterdon and Morris, said. “Instead of encouraging businesses to create, or even maintain, jobs in New Jersey by cutting government spending and taxing – ultimately making New Jersey more affordable for residents and business – Governor Corzine just sees our friends and neighbors lose their jobs and homes.”

The Department of Labor and Workforce Development also said the state lost 8,900 more jobs in January placing the state’s total job count at fewer than 4 million for the first time since 2004.
