Christie explains why he will succeed where Corzine utterly failed…

In today’s Daily Record:

Next he said he would cut business taxes to make the state more attractive for industries to stay and others to relocate here. He also said he would cut the income tax to make it more affordable for residents to live here.

“I will be a new type of CEO in New Jersey; a chief employment officer,” he said.

Corzine’s 10-year plan to build 100,000 affordable homes was criticized, with Christie vowing to “gut COAH,” in reference to the Council on Affordable Housing. He said current formulas would result in too many homes being built on scarce open space.

Last, Christie said he would rebuild the state’s cities with jobs, housing and better schools, because too many of New Jersey’s resources are being drained to fund failed urban programs.
