Corzine eyes business tax hike despite federal infusion of cash

With the state facing its highest unemployment rate in 15 years – 7.1 percent – the New Jersey Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund has dropped dangerously low in recent months. That’s despite an emergency $260 million infusion Gov. Jon Corzine approved in June, which avoided a $350 million tax increase on businesses.
