2009 is going to be a rough ride

In today’s Daily Targum:

Corzine addressed home values plunging, resulting in foreclosures and national unemployment rates, which are expected to reach up to 10 percent in the year ahead.

“Our country did not cause this meltdown; its causes are beyond its control and are national, even global, in scope,” he said. “It is in this context that we have made the economy priority number one, priority number two and priority number three.”

Notice especially the part where he says, “Our country did not cause this meltdown…” That’s not what he said during the presidential election when he placed the blame entirely on George Bush along with every other Democrat (all the while ignoring the Democratic leadership of both houses of Congress).
